Got an lr3!!
Dude welcome! Good to see you. What happened to your D1? You did so much to it I recall. So far on my 05 I've got a roof rack, installed sliders just tonight actualy, new black eight hole steel wheels from lky8 and 32 in Mtrs. Bad ***. Glad to see you cross over. No more leaky oil etc.. Are you still in Indy?
I sunk it offroading!
I LOVE this truck. Saddly I'll nnever go back to the old style even d2.
I love that I average 18mpg. And 22 hwy. I'm ready to drop some cash on tires bumpers sliders, already got the rod mod.
Now! You have 32"s? That's what I really wanted but I learned my lesson going too big last time.
I don't want to loose power, how much of a difference do the tires make?
I also don't want added driveline stress and I want to be able to drive if airbags fail. I was thinking if I can install .5"-1" spacers i would be able to.
No I'm not in Indy anymore, thank god. Well actually it's crazy how different Illinois was from indy. Illinois makes me sick and I'll never go back, but Indy was quite beautiful

You sunk it, that's awesome. Yes the jrods are key, cheapest lift kit ever. Failed to mention that. They take all of 5 minutes to install all the way around with the wheels off.
On the 32's. Yes they do rub on very sharp turns. In the research I did there was mixed views on the stress to the drive train. I think it probably where's things a touch faster, that's a reasonable assumption. So my solution was to buck up and get another set of wheels and tires. I run the off road package for a few weeks at a time and swap it out with the road tires otherwise.
Then I just leave the rack and sliders on full time.
On the mileage the truck says I've been averaging just shy of 15mpg. Probably the added weight.

And sorry, the 32's add the usual road noise, but franking the rack makes more. Be sure to get the wind breaker there. I didn't. It also seems to add a hair of wobble to the wheel, it's suspect that's just an alignment thing and if I got it aligned with the 32's that probably goes away some. No other issues at all outside of the slight rub. Cutting some plastic away would fix that too as it's just the very corner edge, but I didn't bother. Check out roof racks.com. I got the 3/4 voyager rack and basic slider package. I think they actually might be on sale and they are pretty sharp and crazy easy to install. Though Andy outsourced the manufacture and there was some delay, but it was worth it. Service was good too. Nice guy and helpful.
