...maybe check that the filaments are running vertical too, and not horizontal.

Yeah, using non Land Rover light bulbs can spell disaster, as the filaments can short out sending the electrical systems haywire. Sounds like someone before might have just thrown a bunch of random bulbs in there before.

We tested them yesterday, and it seems like they are getting electricity, and yet neither of the backup lights are working... Read something about some sort of hub related to lights that is close to the transmission that might need some attention too..?. Have you heard anything about a part close to the transmission related to light issues?

... backup lights arn't working; even when the filaments are in vertical position, and there is reading in the meter.
Was advised to check a switch hat is close to the transmission and is related to the backup lights. Will do tomorrow. After that Im thinking to take it to have a software update. Will keep posting about the results. - Thank you for asking!

Still no progress.
Took the car yesterday to my mechanic, he got a few errors:
  • Fault -- TCM - Transmission control module
  • Fault --- 3 -- PCM Powertrain control module
  • Fault -- HVAC - eating ventilation and air conditioning control module
Any thoughts, anyone?

Usually when it's a cluster of seemingly unrelated modules like that, the link is the network. I can't remember if all are on the same network, but one bad module can bring the network down, and so can a bad connection or wiring. Power supply can also contribute.

My IIDtool will tell me EXACTLY what's wrong.. My mechanic's tool? Generic crap.

I held out as long as I could before buying one because I had 2 other types of scanners and what I thought was knowhow(pretty good diy mechanic)..

Pony up or you'll be in a world of hurt.
