Default Heated seats

My 2005 has working heated seats everywhere except the driver seat. I looked under the passenger seat and there is an aluminum computer looking device with wires coming out of it to the seat. The driver seat does not have the same aluminum computer looking box.

Should the driver seat have the aluminum box with wires under it just like the passenger seat?

Thanks
Christian

No....and most likely your heated seat shorted out due to wear and chaffed wiring. I had to get mine replaced on my '06 (previous owner never fixed it). I started it as a DIY but changed my mind along the way. I thought it was going to have one type of fastener for the cushion, bought all the tools are replacement fasteners for that job, then got into it and was surprised and said "screw this" and took it to a local auto upholstery shop. It wasn't too bad. Probably $150--200 in labor and the part was maybe $125, but that was a few years ago. Everything is more expensive now.
