I just purchased an 05 LR3 with 15K miles on it and I am very impressed with every aspect of the vehicle and can't believe I haven't owned one until now.
The other day I used the heated windshield when the window was foggy and it cleared the whole windshield except for a 12 inch wide path in front of the driver's view and a few other smaller strips on other parts of the windshield.
Is this due to a defective windshield?
Is this common?
Should I get it fixed under the extended warranty?

not veary common on LR3 but since Land Rover came out with the gizmo glass, I have seen plenty fail, possibly 1-2 every year on all the cars equiped withit, (classics,discos freelanders etc)Not too sure if extended warranty will cover it though, read your policy.
