Since there is, oddly, no lighting forum. I will bury this here. So when I got my LR3 it had factory HID lamps installed, verified by date codes. So I then got some Hella D2s. Brighter, as expected, than the originals and I loved the color temp a ton more. About a year after installer I had one light go out. Thought it was a ballast. Nope. Kinda pissed really so I tried Wagner brand, too warm - yuk. Ran the originals for a while again until new Hellas came. Well now two years in and these things seem soooo dang dim. I hate to order a third set, but I love the color temp.

So anyone else running Hellas? Seem to not last long? Kinda frustrated but I hate to drop money on lamps I may not like at all. Like those Wagners. So if there are any lamp gurus that are familiar with the Hellas and have a suggestion for a like-lamp, would love to know. This weekend I may drop an OEM back in one side to compare output.
