I’ve been hearing this fairly mild rattle/clatter coming from somewhere in the engine bay, or more generally the front of the vehicle on my 2008 LR3 with 4.4L V8 (109k miles). It’s loudest when the car is cold, and goes almost completely away when warmed up. I tend to hear it most at around 2k rpm just before the transmission shifts gears and as I let off the throttle a little bit.

It’s clear in the attached video for about the first 2 seconds, then goes away.

Any ideas?

 

Sounds more like the blower motor to me. Need to put a remote mic or something to help pick it up better.
