So I got my 2005 lr3 hse 7 months ago and had to replace the driveshaft already :-/...
When I'm making turns now, left and right, I get a binding/grinding sound coming from the rear of the vehicle, it's getting more and more often, but dosent happen all the time.
Any ideas? My mechanic can't seem to pin point it! Thanks in advance

 

Put on a lift to get wheels off the ground put in drive( someone has to sit in the car on the lift) and listen to rears, , transfer case, hub bearings
How are the brake pads? Is the noise under braking while turning?
Is it stock, stock tire size?

While its up might as well check the a arm bushings with a prybar

 

Brake pads are decent, and wheel size is factory as far as I know, all matching tires... The noise is usually under acceleration and when turning..

 

Makes me think wheel bearing or cv but .......

Like I said run on lift it may reveal the noise unless someone has a better idea

 

Sounds like the diff ie: left and right changes speed of the two wheels. Drain the fluid and see what it looks like.
