Default Help needed with dash lights. Electrical?

Additional Symptoms:

I can freely shift in and out if park without depressing the brake.

I can shut off the truck and remove the key without the vehicle being in park.

Suspension is lowered all the time.

Brand new battery.

I have already replaced the brake pedal switch.

Please help!

Thanks!

What is operating voltage?

Are you CERTAIN you installed the brake switch correctly? There is a specific procedure, and you can over-twist it on install...

Do you have a code reader?

14.2V

I think that the switch is installed correctly. I also checked the symptoms before reinstalling the switch but after reconnecting the electrical.

I don’t have a LR code reader. The OBD reader spots out several codes see photo.

Also the airbag light tells me it’s not related to the brake switch as this appeared fairly recently compared to the other warnings. Ground issue? Where should I look?

Well your brake switch is messed up somehow.

Airbag crash systems have codes, you need to find the code then can figure it out. Usually those are straight forward. One cause can be disconnecting something, like a seatbelt sensor, they powering the truck up with it disconnected. All airbag codes are hard, which means any fault will trip and keep the light on forever.

Can you replace the airbag control module in these? Or is it a hard code on the onboard comp/bcm?

The multiple dash lights are almost always something very simple.

I just re-read your comments. Check your battery cable situation, but yeah, you have some other issues muddying the waters for sure.

Have you fed your terrain response module
coffee or red bull recently ?? Have you buggered w seats, seat belt harnesses or any trim molding ??

(and get the brake light switch issue resolved. you’ve clearly got a bad switch if it’s letting you move out of park w out depressing the switch )
