Default Help needed LR3 Air to Coil swap with Gap IID

Hello,
New here, and need some technical expertise, I have a 2008 Lang Rover LR3 HSE 4.4 v8 auto. North America USA, left hand drive. It was converted to full coil over by the prior owner, but the little box that comes with the kits online to spoof the computer for the swap was never fitted. So, I have a bunch of lights in the dash and chimes. I purchased the Gap IId gen 4 Bluetooth tool, as I was told it was a go to tool for these, the team over at Gap has been super helpful to me, and we have worked together to try to resolve my issue but we're not getting anywhere. They have given me Full CCF privileges that they have on my device. Here is the problem, when I go into configuration, into complete list, and select 4 corner air suspension, set to disable, it goes through, but when I turn the vehicle back on the chime is off and the little red air suspension light, but I now have a amber triangle warning sign, Brake, and ABS light, that are not on when in stock setting. I am getting persistent codes that I cannot erase which are U0132-87 (2F), C1A000-4A (2B), and U0132-87 (2B), lastly an unrelated headlight code U0001-87 (AF). I have tried the configuration both ways and in series, removing all fuses and relays P35, F26, F3, FL10, and R7. leaving them all in, or individually. No change, the problem persists.

So my question is two part, 1.) Has anyone encountered this problem before, and 2.) Has anyone successfully completed a suspension swap from air to coil, and used the GAP IID Gen4 Bluetooth or comparable tool to flash the ecu configuration and turn off all the dash lights, warning chimes, and make it like it was a factory coil sprung setup, if so what is the process, what changes did you make with the GAP tool to complete the task?

Thanks in advance.

So far I’ve managed to get it to work by going to re enabling 4 corner air suspension, then going into service tests, suspension, and turning build mode on. This removes error codes, shuts down the air system, catch is you must reinstall all fuses and relays. So it works, the special terrain modes work, there was only one chime then stopped permanently, and only one light in the dash, the max height red symbol is persistent and then will give a code for calibration not set. I’m going to mess with calibration soon and see if I can fix that, but at the moment this bandaid works, no constant chimes, only one dash light, terrain modes work, ABS, Brake, and Hill decent control are working properly, I can live with that for now.

side note on that headlight issue, I went into ccf and re wrote the file to remove the adjustable headlights. That turned the headlight issue off till I can figure out what’s going on with the system. The hid lights still come on, they just don’t turn with the steering wheel.

Still if anyone has or knows the correct procedure to eliminate the air suspension with the gap iid tool properly please chime in. Hope this will help someone else.

As far as i know its not possible to fully disable the EAS apart from fitting the delete module, if GAP cant do it then good chance it cant be done.
Since there were base models with coils only i find it strange that it cant be done within the CCF.

Thanks for the reply, that was my thoughts too. I don’t know, the device and user interface are extremely easy to navigate and straight forward, it’s just not working.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the module separately that comes with the coil spring suspension kits?

The former owner who did the coil kit likely bought the cheap version withhout the cheater box as it's half the price of the good one. I don't think you can get that seperately except maybe off ebay or the private marketplace.

I would say that its not possible using the Gap tool alone otherwise there would be no need for the delete module, not aware of them being available separately and i have seen a few people asking about them previously.

Thanks guys. Well what I did in my second comment works, the little red light stays lit but you get full functionality. Myself, I’m probably going to get a really high quality set of air suspension to put back on. The compressor and tank seem good, I’ll check the lines and replace the valves as needed. Thanks again all.
