If there is no power at all I would check for a blown fuse under the hood, or a disconnected/broken main power cable or ground

Indeed, don't forget there is a large fuse in that little black box forward of the battery where the positive lead passes though. Its part of the cable really, next to the terminal. If that fuse goes, nothing will work. You can also just run a test light between the positive terminal and engine metal to see if anything happens.

Default Hey Dakota

I don’t know if you are a mechanic
I try to be
I have 3 skid steers
2 dump trucks diesel
a box truck
plus personal vehicles for wife/ kids/ myself

always an issue somewhere
I had my good friend work as my driver / mechanic so things were in reliable hands when an issue arose. My long point being over the many years I have learned a great deal from him / helping him when he needs it.

This Land Rover stuff is deep like a Forrest. I am thinking it’s one of those things similar to when you buy a new car you begin out of the blue to notice that very same car more then you did prior to wanting/ owning one. There seems to be a lot of DIY’ers when it comes to this brand of car more Land than Range in my own opinion. Most likely a $$$ thing.

I have a 2006 LR3 V8 SE Green which I located in Maryland and since where I live on an island it floods so a car that is high off the ground is a must. I got it for a good price like really good. All I was concerned with was the trans not slipping and it has been strong so far. My son loves the vehicle. I’m so happy for him.

So to end this my whole point of the post...
I recently located a 2008 LR3 White.
The very first couple of days I had it I broke down two hours from home in the dark and
I did purchase a new Battery
I haven’t load tested the old one existing at time of purchase or the new one I put in thinking it was going to help. But the new one is either bad or dead.
I Posted asking for help because I had no power with the new battery I installed and you were nice enough to respond.
I attempted the hard reset w no luck at all
looked over all fuses
not sure I was looking in the correct spot that you were saying is front of battery? Front meaning towards cab of vehicle or front meaning front bumper
I hope you or someone sees this
I put the old battery back in and now I have dash lights and power yet no crank, no click or obviously not turn over attempt possible.
Do you have knowledge on what I can do next.
ANYONE CARING TO RESPOND DO NOT BITHER IF YOUR RESPONSE IS SOME WISE *** COMMENT SAYING TO GO TO THE DEALER.
That is obviously why I’m on this forum.
Dakota are you able to call my cell if you are free to do so. ? Or anyone willing to offer honest help.
Christmas time and Three kids I need to save money every step and every breath I take. Calling from NJ

What's the voltage on the battery that's in it.
