Default Help with voyager spare tire carrier

Hi gang I am most of the way through installing the voyager Short arm spare tire Carrier on my lr3. They didn’t send me instructions, so I asked, and got a 1 page instruction sheet. The sheet mentions a template so I can drill holes in the bumper cover in the right spot. I didn’t get that. Does anybody have this?

Also I only took a few minutes and I couldn’t figure where the strut attaches on both ends. Anybody have photos or video of their install?

Trying to get it in for a camping trip Sunday.

Welcome to the forum Nice looking LR3.

I keep kicking around the swing away. TerraFirma just came out with one that looks pretty good. Hope there is some help out there on installing that one. I'm guessing Voyager hasn't been super helpful?

I did some posting for help on social media and Andy at voyager helped me out with my missing template which was nice.

4 stitches later, my Voyager tire carrier is in! Botched the strut install though and didn’t get the mount in the right spot, requiring me to take everything apart again. Also sheared the strut itself and voyager is telling me I got a design that was discontinued a year ago. Will be working with them next week to get that sorted out. Likely a third bumper cover removal in my future. Nonetheless, happy with how it turned out!

Oh how did I get stitches? I was an idiot and while cutting the bumper plastic with a razor knife, I slipped 😑. And yes I got it on tape.

also...Sorry for not posting an intro. Still figuring out the forum landscape with rovers and don’t have them straight yet.

Default Need Instructions too

I just received my tire carrier yesterday and did not receive instruction or a template either. Very frustrating due to the fact I ordered it in July. I left messages with Voyage hoping they get back to me on Monday as the weekend is not probably feasible.If I receive them I reach out.

Good luck, I won't ever deal with Voyager again. Worst company ever.
