First thing is the spare tire, which can tell you if you DON'T have one. If the spare is not full size then you have no fear locker. If the spare is full size you MIGHT have it, but you'd need to go put it in Rock Crawl and climb something...watch the 4x4 info display to see if it locks.

if you don't have the 4x4 Info display I'm not sure how to check other than having the dealer run your VIN. That said if you do t have that display that means you have an SE. I know that SEs could be had with the HD Package but I don't know if I've ever seen one.

Sometimes easier said than done, but craw up under and take a look at the top of the rear diff. Picture "A" is the locking diff and the Locking Motor (item #4) will be bolted to the top. If you don't have #4, then your setup will be like Picture "B" which is a non-locking diff.

VIN decoder is the best online tool to check vin number | VinDecoderz.com
Punch in your vin and find the line that says rear axel differential.

Don't be bummed...it's uncommon...and the LR3 sans locker does pretty damn good.

When you find the line that says rear axle what are you looking for it to say?

Mine says

Rear Axle Differential - Rear Axle Open Diff [027CB]

Im trying to do the differential and transfer case maintenance and need to know if my rear diff is electronic. When it says open does that also mean its not electronic?
