Yep and if you have the GAP tool it would be better to just add height to the bases and remove when hitting the tarmac again.

The most compelling argument I've heard is to enable it before a deep water/mud crossing to eliminate the possibility of the computer dropping height at an inopportune moment. Anyway, not really advocating for it, just another tool in the toolbox.
