How lame would this be? Rebadging my LR3.
My point of reference is BMW's, but it's a major poser/****** move to put an M logo on a standard trim model. Of course, now many come that way from the factory.
I bought a project LR3 and I'm in the middle of it right now. Would it be dumb if I removed the LAND ROVER lettering from the hood and replaced it with DISCOVERY lettering, then swapped the LR3 badge on the rear with DISCO 3?
I'm still trying to feel out the Land Rover community and don't know if this is a transgression of the code. I may have already bought the new badging, so....

Its only called the LR3 in the US because of the reputation of the Discovery, at the time. So its just marketing, not really trim level/performance related badging. And frankly, do what you want, its YOUR vehicle. People customize stuff all the time, its only wrong if one tries to pass it off when selling - like claiming and sell the BMW as an M series or if this was a base LR3 and you slapped an HSE badge on it and sold it as such.
