You can lock it down by holding the lever down for more then 5 secs.It will still go to normal height at a speed, just a higher speedthen if not locked. I don't think you can keep it locked down all time.

No you cannot lock the vehicle in access mode and drive normally the only thing you could do is make the height sensor rods longer. if you shorten the rods it raises the vehicle in all modes so if you make the ros longet it will lover your vehicle. I have never tried lowering only raising In theory it will work. just put a 285/60 or 265/65 and it will fill the wheel well up.
If you want to try it we can make them up for you

Lowering the vehicle makes it ride like someone removed the springs and bolted the tires straight to the frame. Surely your not talking about lowering the LR3 to access mode and drive 70 mph down the highway like that. You will need a kidney replacement by the time you get to where you're going.

But if that's what you actually had in mind, like DRZ said, modifying the rods is the only way, short of making a spring conversion and cutting the springs short which will again give you the same ridicously rough ride. Buying an LR3 to turn t into a low rider is almost along the lines of rebuilding a Defender to turn it into a dragster. Blasphemy [sm=badidea.gif]
