Default How to tell if I have central locking or double locking?

Looks like I'm going to need new right side door lock actuators but the parts listings shows two options, vehicles with central locking or vehicles with double locking. The part numbers are different for the actuators. Is there an easy way to tell what type of locking my vehicle has? Also has anyone had any luck just taking the actuator out and cleaning it and having it come back to life?

Not sure what the difference is but they can be opened and serviced, they have small electric motors in them like you find in kids toys and can be replaced.

Right front or rear? I can get you the part number you need.

Both are acting up but right now the right front won’t lock so I need that one the most. The right rear sometimes won’t unlock until a 3rd press of the unlock button but it’s at least somewhat functional right now.

Possibly a dumb question, but is this like what the D2 had? I didn't think D3's offered that, at least here in the United States. Double clicking a D2 was something called superlock, disabling even the inside door handle.

For anyone interested I have part numbers for both options, I just don't know how to tell which one I need without taking the door apart and looking for the PN on the actuator itself.

Right Front:
FQJ500460- with central locking
LR091524- with double locking

Right Rear:
FQM500380- with central locking
LR091360- with double locking

Send me your VIN, I will look it up. The most common is central locking/FQ which is probably yours. But, send VIN to confirm.
