You need a software update, don't wait until actuator needs replacement.

Is this something I can do with my IIDtool or do I need to make an appointment with a LR shop

If you can get the update you should be able to push it with the gap tool. I would reach out to GAP customer service and see if they have the update.

So the code dissapered for a bit, but now it is back.

Unfortunately to get the rover home I need to drive about 200 miles. Is this a bad thing with this fault. It will all be highway.

i got a reply back from GAP and they said just to do a self test. I am not sure they know of the software update. I am looking at getting a new motor. So I am still unsure about needing new software.

Problem solved. I got a new motor. Put it in. Got rid of the code. All seems well.

Where did you get the new rear diff motor from? Any tips on install?
