Default I have issues with my new 07 LR3 SE

I just bought my fourth Land Rover never had a LR3 before. I got a great deal but I know it has some issues and I have some questions. I'm hoping I might find some answers from all you fine people.

I've got a code P04020 and P0430. I reset the code and they both come back at the same time. So I'm thinking that it isn't the Cat's because it runs great and I don't think both would go bad at the same time. Also, all the O2 sensors have been replaced.

The Transfer case won't go into Low Range. The switch makes no change, no lights noise nothing when I try it. I took the switch apart and there was some gunk in there but it wasn't that bad. So how can I diagnose what it is?

The air suspension seems to be working just fine, no sagging over time, but when I first start the car in the morning or anytime if it has been sitting for a few hours the air compressor runs for several minutes and then shuts off, and then I don't hear it again while driving. Also, the air compressor seems to just be hanging out there, am I missing some kind of shielding here? Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

It's normal for the compressor to run upon startup, but usually if there have been no height change requests in-between or it hasn't been sitting too long, it doesn't need to run. For instance, if I park at Normal Height on Friday night and then on Saturday morning fire it up, the compressor shouldn't really run.

Looks like you have the AMK compressor. It usually sits in an acoustic box made of plastic. You are missing that!

Do you know if there is a way to get the correct cover to fit the AMK air compressor?

So I took it in today and they are sure it needs Cats. Bummer, because I live in the social republic of California. The price might total the car. However, I found some on Parts Geek, let's see if I really get them. $453 each the dealer is $1200 each. If anyone has a pair sitting around let me know. Anyway let me now if you have a better solution.

I got my LR3 to pass smog today without putting on the new EPA cats. Right when I had got all the monitors to clear but EVP I took it into have the smog done. It passed in CA however when I left the shop the light came back on. P0420. The new Cats came I thing I’m going to have to put them on. I wish I could return them and save the $1000. Oh well.
