Air suspension nightmare

Air suspension nightmare
Hey all, I thought I was getting a good deal... now not so sure. Hopefully someone can help. I'd be more than grateful for some help on this.
I recently purchased a 2007 LR3 with a flat air suspension. Story was : 1 rear air spring bag blew out. Rest of the car seemed pretty decent. I bought new rear air springs to keep it a matched set. Put in the air springs and had some issue getting things to work right. Took it to someone that knew more than I, or so I had hoped, and he said the compressor was done. We determined it was a Hitachi compressor so I bought another Hitachi compressor. Installed it and still no luck getting it to work.
Come to find out that after compressor and bags are changed, the computer control module needs re-calibration, Ok ,,, another $600.00 but ok... Needs it. get it done. I take it for this re calibration service and the specialty shop tells me it has a Hitachi compressor , but needs an AMK compressor . According to them, I have the wrong compressor ,... though it is same brand and looks near identical.
$1,000,000. QUESTION... Anyone have this issue before ? Why if I change from Hitachi to Hitachi, do they say I need an AMK ? This AMK recomendation is $1300. $900 more than the Hitachi.
Any ideas or input would be gratefully appreciated.

You may need height sensor calibration, but that should only be is you changed the sensors themselves. Beyond that nothing is required.
Pics of compressors would help, the Hitachi model did not evolve so it won't look "near identical", it will look identical. Also the covers are different and won't fit right. And the piping is even a little different. So if you had a Hitachi there is NO reason to change to AMK. There is no advantage, it was simply a supply issue back when the truck was made which opened things up to trucks having either compressor or limited supply of Hitachi replacements requiring one to switch to AMK. When switching from Hitachi to AMK a software update is required. I have NO clue if going from AMK to Hitachi requires another software change.
Need more info really. But first a pic of the sensors would be nice to be certain someone did not install extension rods on them. They extend the height of the truck by fooling the sensors, but when teh truck slams it throws the sensors way out of range and then it will never fire up the air ride.
What errors are you getting, icons on dash, etc.???
