I need a set of ramps!
I have a sloping, gravel driveway and an LR3 . . . not a great combination for minor things like changing the oil, etc. I know I need to get steel ramps and I haven't figured out yet just how high they need to be. But I've seen some steel ramps that have hydraulic lifts and that seems to make a lot of sense to me. They say they will safely hold 11,000 pounds which is significantly more than my LR3! I need 13" of lift to get my truck level (previous owner replaced air suspension with coils so no help there!) so I'm thinking I will need about 20" of lift minimum to provide room to work.
But I've never used any ramps before I realize there are likely things I need to consider that I'm not thinking of! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

If you back it into your driveway and then drive the front onto 12 inch ramps would that give enough clearance for oil changes? I have plastic and also steel ramps. Much prefer carrying out the plastic ones. Have you done an oil change? The outlet faces forward so you need a piece of cardboard, or similar, to catch the outflow and direct it downwards.
There is a YouTube video of a fellow doing an oil change and using the cardboard trick. Drain plug can be very tight. Just seems to get that way. Lay something down on your driveway to catch spills. Changed my oil a couple weeks ago and got the cardboard out of position. Bit of a mess🙄
