Ignition Wire? Need alternator current for Renogy DC2DC Charger...
I am at a loss. I am installing the Renogy DC2DC charger, and I need to install the IGN (Ignition WIre) to read the current from the alternator since the LR3 (supposedly) has a smart alternator that adjusts its current based on the demands of the engine. The Renogy supports this, but for the life of me, I can't figure out where to connect it. Wouldn't any fuse give this information? Couldn't I just pigtail a low amp fuse and call it a day, or does it need the actual ignition circuit (if it does, is that the one in the fuse box behind the glovebox)?
Any help would be appreciated.
