one thing we had issues with was chinese made IDS machines. They were good for some stuff but if you tried to reprogram modules they failed and ruined the module guaranteed. So five hundred bucks seem good until you had to reprogram something. And you had the same features as iDS.

Would be happy to hear how to contact the US Rep. I'd like to order one of these for my '06 LR3. I've got to replace one of my EAS Height Sensors and recalibrate... I also like the two mods you've made (3-blink, lane-change directional and enable NAV-in-motion).

Thanks for your review - most helpful!

I'm pretty sure you can get one from Lucky 8 LLC

Just got mine today...not a day too soon (well, maybe a business day since the new height sensor won't be here until Monday).

Tasks I'd like to do:

Install new FL Height Sensor, then clear my EAS faults and re-calibrate.
Install new rotors, pads and wear sensors, then clear break fault(s).
Enable NAV in motion.
Enable lane-change turn-signal.

Was hoping to do all this over the weekend, but the bulk of the parts coming in from UT aren't going to make it to me until Monday, so I'll just get the thing activated and try to figure out the NAV in motion and lane-change signal mods.

Will report back on how it goes

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, if my LR3 is incapable or if there's something else wrong, but I tried to enable the 3-flash turn signal and the NAV in motion, but there's no change to how she operates. After trying a second time, the tool seems to be telling me that both features are enabled.

One thing to note is that when I bought her, I had the dealer install the updated NAV maps (2006 LR3 w/ 2010 maps)...That did prohibit me from being able to get the map-in-motion working using the #1791 NAV Diagnostics trick.

Any suggestions? That NAV in motion block is a huge PITA and was at least 30% of the reason I went ahead and grabbed the IID Tool.

I didn't think the IIDTool could do that. Where are you reading/seeing this?

...and WTF is the 3-flash turn signal?

In the menus. ...and I think the 3-flash turn signal is supposed to allow you to tap the directional lever for a second and instead of just flashing once (while the contacts are touching) it will flash 3x. My wife's Acura ILX does this...it's great for lane changes.

Do you know the menu "path" off-hand? I'd like to hunt for it and I don't remember seeing it in any of my GAP manuals or quick-reference guides.
