Default Im in! Just bought an 05' with 206K

So, Wanted an LR3 ever since I first saw one, now i'm in.

2005- Multiple codes, but the first thing is:

P0730 Incorrect gear ratio
P0732 Gear 2 incorrect ratio
P0741 Torque Converter clutch system performance or stuck off

Car starts in first fine, once you give it any significant throttle, it misses and revs. Let it come back down and feather the throttle and it gets through 2nd to 3rd. Don't do it ever so gently and it will slam into gear.

I'm praying a trans service will help/fix it, but a local tech says I need a solenoid pack.

Also, where is the trans service section in the LR3 Rave? My files are all segregated into separate folders.

Thanks in advance, you will see me asking all kinds of dumb questions from here on out.

Thanks Charlie. It's funny because I have an 05' parts car I'm starting to dismantle this weekend.

Parts cars are great.

Every Land Rover should come with a parts car as standard equipment . Good luck with the teardown.

I found the video on YouTube that Tom posted up.

If I go that far, I'm swapping the solenoids.

Possible to top off fluid without removing anything?

Thanks in advance.

Abran it has been said you do not need to do everything in the video, it can be done easier think there is discussion in the tech section for trans service

Thanks Tom. I think that discussion talked about fabricating a tool to get to 3 of the bolts on the land and jacking the trans up 1".

But it ended(iirc) with someone questioning if it was on a V6 only?

I'll go back and check.

Can the fluid be topped off with removing anything?

Looks like upgraded at the same time. I sold my 2003 D2, and got an 2005 LR3 with HD package. Huuuuuuge upgrade in driving comfort, etc.
