Default Interior Issue

Hello,

I have an '07 LR3 that has the fabric carpeting of both interior "A" pillar failing off. Anyone have any good remedies, or should the be replaced if even possible?

Thank you for any help that can be provided.

I have had small interior panels reupholstered very cheaply at a local auto upholstery shop. When I was younger I have also tried myself.... one recommendation though. If you do, don't bother with any of that rattle can upholstery glue. It doesn't hold a candle to the real stuff that you load in a HVLP gun and an air compressor. But if you aren't already set up with a cheap HVLP gun that you dont mind getting ruined by glue, it's likely cheaper to have a shop do it. I figure I could get both done for $100-150 here. Your mileage may vary.

Mine is doing the same. I was told that is a common issue and I plan to have a local upholstery shop tidy it up it since I am terrified I will inadvertently inflate one or both of the air bags!

hot glue gun works ok, just use the higher temp glue.

I took the plastic trim piece off (1 Torx screw, I think), carefully applied some spray adhesive (Pep Boys - Permatex All Purpose Spray Adhesive in my case) to the plastic, and then gently pressed the original fabric back onto the plastic trim piece. No more flapping A-pillar fabric.
