Ipod Cable installation

Default Ipod Cable installation

I have an audio interface cable that i bout months ago and was looking for installation instructions... any idea/leads? it appears to be part number AC511??

Is that not for the very old 30-pin style iPods? Even then your 2006 will not have the provisions for hooking it up. Your only option is the AUX in port between the two seats, accessible by the rear passengers. Or using an BT option that plugs into that AUX port.

Yes it is. I still have my old 30 pin video ipod that has most of my itunes library. i wanted to see if there was a way to get it to charge and use the steering wheel controls...

No, that cable will not work at all. And with that iPod, there really is no option for 2006. There was a BlueTooth option created by African Outdoor. But that company (think one man probably) no longer exists and people had issues with shipping. That solution involved a harness and probably an arduino module. With that solution, steering worked fine.

I think the only other possibility would be to replace your entire audio system with something form 2010 up for it to work.
