Seems to me if you're not running over a 32" tire there's no need for the kit. 275/65/18 Duratracs (32.07") will still drive when it sits on the bump stops, I've been there. As houm_wa suggested you can get lift from an IID tool (that has MANY other uses), rods or just select off road height when you need the clearance. As far as stress on the bags, it's my understanding they don't really run higher pressure at higher height, just more volume.
