Default Lazy Seats

ok, another question - I have a Black HSE, and it has "Lazy Seats", and nothing in the manual exactly describe their function. I turn them on, and I can move the seat around, and then when I lock the vehicle and come back later, when I use the remote to unlock, it returns them to my memory seat setting.. however, what I was hoping that feature means is that when I turn the vehicle off, it would move the seat back and lower it, making it easier to get out of.. am I just wrong or am I not using them correctly? My father-in-law has a Mercury Mountaineer that has that function, where the seats move back automatically to make it easier to get in and out of... I like the functionality.. but if "Lazy Seats" simply return them to the setting stored with the remote, then that's almost useless, as I rarely move the seats around myself. wasted opportunity IMO

Your salesman should have described the feature to you. If you are unable to contact him, let us know and we will hook you up.

Default RE: Lazy Seats

Well, here's the thing. before I got this, I drove a 4X4 F-150, as I used to live in Georgia, where the streets are wide and parking is never an issue. I moved to Chicago about 14 months ago, and realized that my old Ford didn't fit - in parking lots, in parking garages, wasn't even allowed on many streets here... so I tried to trade it up here and was offered less than wholesale for it. So I found a dealer in Huntsville, AL who helped me in more ways than just giving me more for my trade - that's how I ended up with the HSE... longer story, but anyway, he offered to meet me in Paducah, KY to swap vehicles, so he didn't spend a whole lotta time going through every feature since we were in the parking lot of a restaurant and it was about 105 degrees outside. Also, I'm sure the LR dealer I worked with up here before going down south won't be thrilled to help me out. that's why I went to a message board.

I could certainly call the guy I bought this one from, but honestly, he wasn't super-familiar with the vehicle to begin with, so again, I came to a forum where I figured I'd find experts in their field...

I re-read my manual last night, and I think I understand that the feature is basically to return it to my "stored' setting that matches my remote, not actually to recline and lower the seats to make exit and entry easier..

thanks though, if you have more info, I'll take it.
