Check your cowl, and cabin air filter for moisture. How to check it article posted here; DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - Upcoming project

I'n a nutshell..
Your sunroof drains are clogged.
The a pillars are loose or not sealing properly, and water is leaking in
The lower windshield plenum is warped over the heater box fresh air intake, and water is leaking in
The interoir needs to be removed inculding the carpets. Then the carpets either need to be washed and completely dried (days) or replaced.
All electrical connections in the harnesses need to be checked and repaired as necessary
Do you have full coverage insurance?
If you do, Bring it to the dealer and have it fixed properly, and have your insurance pay for it

Oh yeah...Congratulations You're gonna love your LR3

I have a leak on the passenger side only. I'm told it can be coming from the vent on that side (engine air intake?). I was also told a hole can be drilled into or from the wheel well. Has anyone done this?

One or all the points I mentioned can cause a water leak at the r/f.
Obviously the l/f a pillar will not.

You can drill a hole in the sill where the water accumulates if you want.
I'm not telling you to, or showing you where.
And if you try to drill a hole in the left side sill BE CAREFUL!!!
The air supension reservoir is directly under the sill and it's easy to drill right into it...

If it's coming in there, then your cowl is not seating properly, you should check than, and perhaps change it.

This "cowl" you speak of is the rubber inside the vent cover?

The "cowl" I speak of is on the outside of the vehicle. Go to the link provided, and all will be revealed.
