Default Loaded lower control arm

I’m trying to replace the drivers from air strut and the lower control arm won’t come down and the shock won’t go up enough to line up the hole. What have I done wrong

I jacked the passenger side up and it took the pressure off the sway bar and the bolt went right in

If you released the air first it would have been easier.

I released the air with the gap tool and it went great on the passenger side but the driver side was giving me a fit until I realized I had the suspension loaded because of the sway bar. Once I jacked the passenger side up it was fine
