Looking at 07 LR3 w/119k miles
This vehicle is in excellent shape, all service records available, serviced at local LR dealership. My question is whether 119k miles is "too much" on these vehicles. Never owned a Rover, but have always heard great things. Since this car has obviously been well taken care of, do you think it still has plenty of life left? How many miles can you realistically get out of an LR3 before major stuff starts going wrong?
Taking care of it is key. There are some expensive things that can go wrong, but fortunately the value of an LR3 is currently enough that they are worth repairing.
I had a 2006 with 190,000 miles on it when I sold it. Ran great, no major things needed replacing, I sold it just to get one with more options.
So am replacing it with a 2006 with "only" 160,000 miles on it, and it needs an engine. It seems that maybe it was taken care of as much.... it's nasty under the hood, probably from a failed PCV that was never replaced.
