Looking to buy 2006 V8 SE
Hi Guys,
I am the owner of a 03MY Disco and the vehicle was pronounced a total loss yesterday!! The obvious next car for me would be LR3; I am not at all familiar with these cars and would like some advise of the top problems to look at when making the purchase.
Thanks in advance.

New front kit with both arms, new bushings and hardware: $420
Diff noise?
Cost of new diffs: Roughly $1k-$1200, depending on model of truck and options.
Transmission leaking from lower cover?
Cost of repair kit w/ new filter: $100
Thermostat assembly leaking?
Cost of new Assembly: $90

I had a 2003 discovery as well but I sold mine to buy a 2006 LR3 HSE with 90,000. It is unbelievable the difference not only is the interior 100 times better but the drive and power is amazing. Now just make sure you keep up on maintenance on the lr3 luckily before I bought mine the compressor and control arms were both changed by Rover. I bought the rover in September and so far I have replaced the tranny pan and fluid ($500 Indy shop), replaced front, rear diff fluid and transfercase fluid ($250 I did it myself), coolant flush ($100 Indy shop) and some other small things. Just try to get the most info about the rover as possible and you should be good!
