Default Which lower control arms brands do you like?

Hello all, im in the process of getting lower control arms, inner and outer tie rods for my 2005 LR3 as it badly needs a refresh. What brands do you prefer? I was leaning towards URO and Ultra Power from rockauto for lower arms. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Never get ÜRO, ever.

For most there is one choice. OEM. Suspension is one place I rarely cheap out on, its not worth the risk. Too many have installed lesser brands just to have them fail quickly. Of course you can always rebuild them with new bushings and ball joints in which case I would probably go with Lemforder bushings, they may have been the the original supplier.

Yes, ÜRO is that bad. Pressing in bushings is something you would do yourself otherwise one would just spend the $150 (shipped) for a new OEM control arm, cheaper than paying labor.

I see.I wouldve done it myself if i had my garage. Since moving to Minnesota im still new here and not many mechanic places i know of. Looks like im going the OEM route. Are you talking about the arms from Atlantic British for $150?

I’m it sure what A.B. has for that price. LRDirect has OEM dealer service (plain boxed) arms for 102.00 plus shipping. Fancy packaging costs a little more. Shipping from the U.K. is fast but costs about $40. Usually even with shipping stuff is less expensive from them.

Yes, but that price is for 2+ discount. $104 is the single price (thought 102).
