Just got a "new" 2007 LR3 4.4 v8. Reading the owners manual, it says I need to use coolant LRN2279. Hmmmm . . . can't find an antifreeze that mentions LRN2279!! Help Please!! Hahaha!

 

Any OAT based will work. I’ve used orange dexcool 50/50 with water in the past.

if you don’t know what you’ve got in there now, the recommendation is of course to flush first with water, empty it, add the new coolant, etc. but your average service shop will just top off and be done with it…..

 

Flushing with distilled water may be best.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if you have pink or orange

 

Yeah, they look different in different light, too. Go by spec, not by color since the dye can be different in different parts of the world.
