Default LR3 Average Engine Temps???

My Lr3 V8 4.4 runs usually around 194, 197 engine temp on the highway and about 199-201 in the city. Yesterday I was stuck in Boston traffic and the truck went as high as 212 while idling in stop and go chaos, is this something to be concerned about? What could cause the temp increase? I had ac on and it was about 65 degrees outside. Warmer weather? AC? Thanks. Dan

Sitting in traffic with the AC on will raise coolant temp. I would not be concerned, but might be a good idea to pop the hood and just check your coolant level.

I have not seen one of these engines overheat for any reason other then low coolant yet (or previously overheated to the point of failure, and one other issue, that would have caused failure before the first oil change was ever done), aside from in the Range Rover where the fan will weld itself to the brushes and stop running, but not a concern on the LR3.
