I have been looking at a 1989 range rover to purchase, it has 170k miles on it, it drives fine, no wiggles or squeaks but, I was wondering around what time will a rr classic transmission go out? My boss has a 1994 rr classic and has had to replace the transmission recently at 135k miles for about $2500 and I just want to make sure that when I buy this rr I don't immediatley have to replace the transmission. I was wondering if anyone else has had to replace theirs and at how many miles. Any input is greatly appreciated.
