Default LR3 axle tube housing bearing?

So I thought I ordered the correct bearing from Rock Auto under "Axle Shaft Bearing" since it was the only bearing that looked correct, a needle roller bearing. It is too small to fit into the axle housing tube for the passenger side. Heck, it almost fit right past the inside of the existing one. While the existing bearing may be fine, I would like to replace it but I can not locate the correct part number. Oddly rebuild kits come with bearing but none look like this one anyway. Looks pretty easy to replace at least.

And FYI, the bearing I bought was BCA NBB228 which I think is actually for the rear diff as a pilot bearing.

B-268 - Original brand was KOYO. Thought the stamping was on the back side, sadly. But cleaned it up better and suddenly my old eyes saw numbers. Now to order the correct one....

Did you get the correct bearing?

I found SKF B-268 on Rock site for $11

Yeah, it arrived last week. Bought the same KOYO brand, figured if it was good enough for Dana then I would stick with the same brand.

Where did you order the Koyo from? I've not looked too hard but I didn't find it either.

Agree. But I doubt if there are a lot of fake $12 bearings out there. Not worth it. I certainly will not buy Timken or such from eBay tho! At least with Rover parts one can use a UV light to see if they are legit.

Tell me more about UV!

As far as "not worth it" the most common fake part I came across is a $6 spark plug, although it does scale up because you do need 4-8 per car and can sell a lot more of them than bearings... the worst part is the damage they do, I have seem engines destroyed beyond repair when fake plugs fall apart.
