My phone camera does not photograph this well cause of the filters, but every LR label has "hidden" writing. In bright orange you will see "GENUINE JLR" and then in smaller print you will see "JLR" in white. This will be printed in the white area only and not in the banner sections, like on the left. I am not sure how easy that is to replicate but it will be on every LR label for any part no matter how inexpensive. Even my little door sill clips have this on the label.

Another thing I noticed about fake parts is they generally just use one label for them ALL. Like you may see a "Genuine Land Rover" suspension compressor being sold by 10 different sellers even with different photos, yet the production date, etc. are all identical across labels. Which would not happen if they were real, odds are that at least the dates would not be the same. Another trick they use it to sell the cheap fake parts for a price that is below dealer yet not too cheap. So some people think that they are saving some money so it must be real - yet that exact same item will also be sold as aftermarket for pennies on the dollar.

 

For future reference, ordered SKF B268 from RockAuto for $10.43, bearing inside the SKF box is a KOYO B268, same as the one I pulled out of the axle tube
