Default LR3 different style front driveshaft / prop shaft?

Was there a redesign/update to the front shaft on the LR3 or maybe an update with the LR4? I noticed two styles in my searching. One has varying thickness from end to end, at about the middle. Then I also see a straight shaft that looks about the thickness of the thinner part of the other design.

You could be correct, but they seem to share the same part number. I will have to dig further.

I could see the LR4 one being stronger to cope with the extra power but it seems like most components didn’t get any upgrade for the 5.0 so it’s a guess at best
