Default lr3 dvd aftermarket

my wife and i just purchased an 06 v8 lr3 se without out the dvd option (which we wanted) and would like to put it in for our 2 boys. Our dealer mentioned that he knows a place that he sends all his customers for this option as it is better than the factory installed option. He has yet to get me the number and location of this place. I wanted to know if anyone has done this and can suggest a brand so i can go there as an informed consumer. Also, i have seen the headrest type. Can those fit in our lr3?

There isn't a current viable option for monitors in the LR3 headrests. They are too narrow for a decent size screen. We have built a custom enclosure that saddlebacks on the back of the seat (no cutting of the seat) utilizing 6.5 inch Alpine monitors. This is a great option but is a bit pricey.

My preference is a 10.2 inch Rosen center dropdown screen. This is the same manufacturer of the OEM system but we mount it without the huge baseplate on the factory setup. Much cleaner install. It comes with A/V jacks and wireless headphones and game controllers. Very slick.

If you are in Northern California I would be glad to set you up.

Good Luck.

I've done dual 7-in screens in my LR3, which go on the angled part of the roofliner to either side of the center light dome.

DVD player goes in the upper glove box, add-on rca plugs get mounted to front passenger seat mount.

I'll upload some pics if you like..?
