lr3 dvd option
Has anyone had this installed, and if so did it include the rear audio package, and was the dealer able to make it play through the vehicle speakers. My dealer says it is not legal to let it play throught the speaker, and that it does not come with the rear audio package. Anyone else know anything about this? Am I getting taken for a ride?

RE: lr3 dvd option
I was proactively told by my dealer about the DVD issues, and that there was a fix coming out (potentially) in February. I purchased the DVD system uninstalled per my salesperson to get the 4 year warranty rather than adding it later as an accessory and only getting a 90 day warranty. When/if the fix comes out in Feb then they will include it in the installation. The fix may be a completely new unit from another mfg. and if so they will replace it. If there isn't a fix then I can return it and get my $1,600 back.
For a dealer to be telling you that it is illegal to play the DVD system through the speakers is absurd. That may be UK law, but I have a 2004 Yukon XL with DVD system, and that plays through the speakers and through the headset.

Thanks, I appreciate the info, I was getting a little worried. I think my dealer was trying to make a quick buck, but as long as there is a fix for it that is fine. Do you know if it does indeed include the 3rd row audio where they can select another source that the main speaker as it says in the sales brochure??

Don't know about the 3rd row audio. Hopefully LRNA will live up to it's promises. Look for lots of software updates for this vehicle, it's brand new in the whole world market. There is already one out for A blank screen/error message on the touch panel. Just like the constant Windows updates, when you have A dozen onboard computors continuously communicating with each other your bound to find some glitches.
