Default LR3 Extended Warranty

Hello all this is my first post,

My '07 LR3 HSE (45K miles) warranty is up soon; by the end of this month.

What I'd like to hear from you guys/gals is if any have purchased an extended warranty?

Is it worth it?
If so, what/who company did you go through?
Average cost?

Oh and I've had nothing but problems with mine since I purchase it used early 2010, its been to the dealer about 5 times within the past 6 months..

I also have an 07 HSE with 43k. My warranty is good through August. Most posts I've seen on extended warranties recommend the Ford ESP Premium plan. The rates may slightly vary, but I was quoted $3700 with a $100 deductible to add 3 years of coverage and take it to 100k.

I've only had mine 2 months, and I do need a dealer visit to fix the keyless entry, but luckily haven't had any major problems yet. What problems have you had?

fyi andyskitmore
call Mike number is below
I have 6/75/100 premium care see below

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are a Ford dealer in CT and the #1 online provider of genuine Ford ESP
coverage. We offer our customers huge savings off the regular price ($300 -
$600, in most cases).

The eligibility period to purchase coverage is anytime within the Land Rover
4 yr / 50,000 mile new vehicle warranty period.

Recently, we have sold plans to several LR 3 owners across the country.

Here are the plan quotes for the terms of coverage I have sold LR 3 owners.

Premiumcare

7 yrs / 100,000 miles / $100 deduct. $2,920 - $180 = $2,740 final price.
7 yrs / 75,000 miles / $100 deduct. $2,640 - $180 = $2,460 final price.

6 yrs / 100,000 miles / $100 deduct. $2,635 - $180 = $2,455 final price.
6 yrs / 75,000 miles / $100 deduct. $2,000 - $180 = $1,820 final price.

The plans use the manufacturer new vehicle warranty start date and zero
miles as the beginning point.

Please call me to apply, if you decide to purchase this coverage.

Regards,
Mike Mans

Great responses, thank you to everyone who has contributed..

In response to one of the questions (CaptRazorback)
  • Front differential leaking
  • Replaced front tie rod
  • Air suspension fault
  • Electronic brake fault
  • Rattle in front door
  • Misc interior fixes
  • Noise coming from end while driving
    • List just goes on and on.... I've only owned it for not even a year!!!
Its at the dealer as we speak... :-(

I will try calling Ford ESP and post my findings when I get a chance.

dragan - Sounds like it already has paid for itself by far. Do you have to take it to a specific dealer or shop? I'm concerned if the local LR dealers around here will honor it.. I've just heard so many horror stories of not paying for coverage, etc. etc. Have you had any issues at all with warranty claims?

I have some of the interior noises and rattles you mention. I don't know where they come from, but they drive me crazy.

Dragan: when did you buy your warranty? The 7 year 100k is now priced at $3720. I like your price much better.

You can take your car to any dealer you want, the shop only needs to call and get approval for repair.
I'm taking my car to LR dealer for repair. LR dealer will determine problem and he will call warranty and get approval to work on the car. If the repair is over 1,000 warranty will send somebody to recheck and approve. So far warranty paid for everything and didn't question anything.

The ford ESP warranty doesn't cover rattles
