Default LR3 loose side mirrors

I noticed on corrugations the LR3 is a wee bit noisy. Don't know why I never checked the mirrors. And I assume it's normal, but I can shake both about when in normal position easily with one finger. Certainly they could produce knocks/noise when the truck is moving about. When the assembly is shifted to rear or forward there is of course tension and they are tight.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to tighten them up?

I have noticed a new rattle from the drivers side, may be the mirror but it is difficult to locate while driving. I will be interested in the reply to possibly tightening the mirrors.

I haven't noticed my mirrors being loose. I did rip one off when reversing out the garage last year and replacing it was very simple and it tightened up without any problems.

The difficult part was fitting the glass but it eventually went in no worries (with the assistance of my far more patient and level-headed wife).

Inside the door is a black plastic cover with three screws inside. This is was I think was used to attach the assembly to the vehicle.

And I'm not sure if you're talking about the glass or the whole assembly. Anyway, this is what I found. I hope it helps. My ability to assist on these forums is limited by my mechanical skills...

The issue is between the mirror housing and arm, the hinge point. Thats were there seems to be unusual play.
