Default LR3 - lower control arm replacement height and alignment

Hi,

I just replaced my lower control arms yesterday... that was quite the challenge!

i followed instructions, had the vehicle in access mode and measured centre of hub to wheel well on each side.

Once we got everything lined up we could not get the hub centre To wheel well height to match the original measurement

What is the downside to that? I still need to take it in for an alignment, but I am concerned that we didn’t match the original height before tightening all of the bolts.

Thanks in advance

They will loosen them again to do the alignment so i wouldn't worry.

The bolts supplied by brotpart didn’t meet specs for torque values... had to buy a replacement set of bolts at dealership...

not impressed with the britpart kit hardware at this point.

As it turns out, the supplied Britpart bolts were fine, but the supplied nuts could not handle the 202 ft lbs of torque.... the dealer was super kind and after sorting it out they did not charge for shop time or for the nuts they replaced.

I am still a bit disappointed that the Britpart kit had a weak point (the nuts) and could have caused some serious issues.
