Looking to start a possible project for a weekend vehicle starting from salvage auction.

Passenger airbag went off. Although replacement airbags are easy to buy, does the dash need to be replaced at the same time or can it be put back to relative from factory condition.

I have experience replacing a dash from a P38 so I kinda know what I would be getting into, just want to know if the dash needs to be replaced as well.
