LR3 pickup project
Hi After some help / info as considering using a LR3 as a base vehicle for an American pickup conversion .
Main concerns are I need to make it left hand drive and reduce the electronics to a bare minimum, any specialist out there that could help with the electronics reprogramming and are kits available off the shelf for Left hand conversions ?
Any help appreciated Thanks

All LR3 are LHD. LR3 was only released in North America, which are all LHD countries. If you need RHD, then you should look at importing a Discovery 3 from UK or Australia.
There are some LR3/Discovery 3 that were converted to a pickup, but they are rather unattractive. You’ll never be rid of the electronics without significant labor. Your best bet is to start with an old pickup truck and rebuild the engine and suspension.

The electronics in this vehicle are so tied together I'm not sure what you want to do is really possible. For example, your mirror light is linked to seat power. If that is unplugged your seats stop working. Who woulda thought?? A D2 is a little simpler, and D1 more simple still. At least those you can engine swap and still keep most stuff working.
I have seen a few converted vehicles, 1 that was in Mexico i believe, 1 in the UK and 1 here in Australia converted for use with a 5th wheeler trailer. You would want to start with the lowest spec base vehicle you can find and even then sorting the electrics will be a lot of work - but not impossible, with enough cash anything can be done.
