After having a hard time with the factory head unit and amp I decided wire in an aftermarket head unit.
I bought a Chinese surround on ebay, but it left too much gap in the head unit opening and didnt quite get the angles right for a flush fit. In order to make it look as OEM as possible, I drew up the new fascia in CAD, 3D printed and painted.
I have the STL file if anyone else is interested, can be made to fit most head units.
Low quality for now as I plan to to re-use some of the buttons from the factory unit to wire in a USB switch and garage door opener etc..
That looks awesome well done.
I have been looking for one that would be more angled towards the driver and also slightly tilted up. all i've seen so far are the Chinese ones.
