Way too many pics to embed. And unfortunately Google Photos won't let you embed directly into forums from it's platform for some reason. I have a photobucket account that I usually use when I have a couple pics I want to embed, but it's almost unusable it's so slow. I normally find google photos to load fast, even over cell.

I have another link though, our club's smugmug account. I don't like it as much since it's more work to upload stuff and it doesn't put the pics in any particular order. Let's try that:

Test photo-

Well....guess that didn't work. Tried using the photo link button at the top of the text box but it won't let me actually type anything. So I tried just manually inserting the address via the img tag but again no-go.

Old thread but great read with my coffee this morning.
Great story. Way to go. If you don't break it, how are you going to spend all your money and time fixing it.

I just have a hard time buying the praise for the D2 over the LR3 for the reasons Don states. Higher sills and shorter wheelbase yes, but I think the LR3 has greater articulation, stock to stock.

LR3s wheel circles around Discoveries.

"stock to stock" maybe. But when you start building the trucks up, there's just more you can do with a Disco. I've been back to the Rubicon a few times since this was written, but now I do it in this:

BTW, if any of you are planning to come to the Western National Rally in September rumor has it that red truck may be leading a pre-event Rubicon run... Watch the website/social media of your choice for details as we get closer. But don't tell anybody...it's a secret!
