Lr3 Tire advice needed
#11
Just put on a set of the Grabber AT2's and they seem great so far - quiet and smooth and I love the look. Gives a beefy appearance compared to stock tires but not an "off-road" truck look like the mud terrain tires give. It depends on what you are after and what you are willing to compromise but all of those are good choices.

hankook 265/60/18 atm rf10
i'm about to purchase these babies. I've heard great reviews about them. There's a great write up at Hankook BFGoodrich Toyo Tires - Four Wheeler Magazine
Ended up getting the coopers, couldn't turn down the deal I got.

Tire update
In December, I finally got the General Grabber AT2 in stock size 255/60R18 to keep the same maneuverability and turning radius.
After 3 months of usage in various cold conditions, lot of snow here in Minnesota and really low temps, the tires are great.
Good traction in deep snow, I gave a few tries in 2+ feet of snow and the LR3 goes very smoothly.
Driving on snow covered roads is also very good, braking is ok, probably not as good compared to true winter tires but better than my previous all season tires.
No spinning when starting, the LR3 keeps its way and the direction is firm.
Overall I gained in control and the ride feels more secure. Pulling my trailer on snow covered roads is a piece of cake.
I can't wait to go off roading now that I have these tires.
