Default LR3 Tire Pressure Monitor

Hello all:

Can someone please tell me where exactly the Tire Pressure Monitor is located on a 2006 LR3? I am getting conflicting information.

Many thanks.

Above your head, near the middle (for second seats) light assembly. But I dont think removing the light assembly will give enough access.

I actually had that light out previously to look at the Sun Roof Monitor but didn't see anything else there?

Pretty sure the sunroof motor is up front. Or is it in back? Either way I did mention having the light out would probably not give access. Have to drop the headliner a bit.

It was the Sun Roof Monitor I was working on but didn't have to drop the Headliner to access it. Guess I have to drop it now to try to find the TP Monitor. Thanks for the input, appreciate it.

Pretty sure you can just drop the front visors, a pillar trim, handles and center light assembly and lower it just enough to access it. Black module with a blue and green connector and more wires than one would think there should be. Siemens or VDO brand usually and should say 315 Mhz on it. Stupid location really since itself has no antenna and does not need to be where it is. Im disabling mine, it was handy to have and saved my butt a couple times but my new wheels have no sensors installed.

Remove the outside second row handle and the second row center light, you can reach TPMS box by slightly pulling down on the outside of the headliner while reaching in from the opening for the light. It is to the left. It has 2 8mm nuts holding it in place. One is easy to get to the outside one not so much. Good thing is it it will be fine with just one nut holding it in if the outside one is just too hard to get started.
It helps to have a small flashlight that will fit up above the headliner just in front of the light opening and ratchet type wrench.

At least that it way I did it (more then once)

Hope this helps. Let us know how it turns out.

Jeff
