Default Lr3 turn signal turning on high beams fix.

I tried googling. I tried searching forums. I can’t find anything for the lr3 on this. Just the d2. When I turn on my left or right turn signal the high beams come on. It’s like when I turn right, it pulls back and when I turn left it pushes forward. Not sure what the fix is or what the procedure is. But getting pointed in the right direction would be awesome. Thank you.

Well, the stalk(s) are rather easy to change if you think it’s a mechanical issue with them that causes it. To remove stalks:
  • Pull down on the cover with the ball cooler and remove. It’s held in place only by two clips
  • Remove two torx screws keeping the plastic fascia under the steering wheel in place
  • Remove the plastic top cover behind 5e steering wheel
  • remove two Phillips screws (ISTR) per stalk
alternatively you can skip all that and just remove the top cover with plastic tools, it’s pretty lose.

I’m not sure if it is or isn’t. I’m assuming it is?

Are they repairable or best to replace?

I guess they can be repaired somehow, I mean I doubt the stalk modules are sealed, but new used ones do not cost much either.

Yeah I saw oem for $75. But figured it was worth a try at if they can be fixed too.
